About the Nalambalam Pilgrimage

The Thrissur Nalambalam pilgrimage is a revered spiritual journey to four temples dedicated to Lord Rama and his brothers Lakshmana, Bharata, and Shatrughna located in Thrissur and parts of Ernakulam district. Traditionally undertaken during the Malayalam month of Karkidakam (July–August), this one day pilgrimage is believed to bring immense blessings, prosperity, and relief from difficulties. The temples are located near each other Triprayar, Irinjalakuda, Moozhikkulam, and Payammal offering devotees a unified and serene experience. Devotees visit in the sequence Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana, Shatrughna, concluding usually before noon during the sacred season, following ancient legend and ritual practices.
