Sreekrishna temple at Krishnamoola is about 200 years old. This temple is rare as it faces the West. The main deity of the temple is Lord Sree Krishna having butter on both his hands. The sub deities of the temple are Goddess Seetha, her sons Lord Lava and Lord Kusha, Goddess Durga, Thalchil Ayyappan, Brahmarakshass etc. The festival is conducted in commemoration of the installation day of Sreekrishna Temple at Krishnamoola.

Annadanam is a food serving program which is held as an offering during the festival.
