Dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi, it worships her in three forms Vana Durga, Bhadrakali, and Jala Durga. The temple hosts numerous rituals during its annual festival, including Oppana Varavu, a procession from Cheramkode Bhagavathy Temple at Kallody, and Adiyaras, a tender coconut procession for ablution during Valliyooramma's arattu.

The festival concludes with the Oppana Varavu's return to Cheramkode Bhagavathy Temple after Rudhirakkolam, symbolizing Goddess Bhagavathy's triumph over the demon king Darika in a ritualistic battle.

Arattu Maholsavam
The Arattu Maholsavam at Valliyoorkavu Bhagavathi Temple includes rituals such as Arattu Ezhunnallathu and Oppana Varavu. During the festival, the traditional ritual of Kalamezhuthu is performed nightly, and on the concluding day, various folk art forms are showcased. Local tribes perform these dances accompanied by native percussion instruments, adding cultural richness and drawing significant interest from attendees.
Bhagavathi Seva
Bhagavathi Seva Pooja, a Hindu religious ceremony dedicated to the worship of Goddess Bhagavathi, is performed during the month of Karkidakam. This ritual aims to invoke the blessings of the divine feminine for prosperity, peace, and the removal of obstacles in devotees lives.
