The Sree Seetha Devi Lava Kusa Temple holds a unique place among Kerala's temples and is one of the rarest in India. It is one of the very few temples dedicated to Lava and Kusha, the children of Sree Rama and Seetha Devi, where active worship continues.
Constructed in the 18th century by Sri Pazhassi Raja, a prominent historical figure, the temple served not only as a spiritual center but also as a strategic site where Pazhassi Raja held meetings and discussions with his army chieftains in its courtyard.
