Sree Manikavu Temple Shiva Temple Wayanad

Bhagavata Sapthaham, is a traditional Hindu spiritual event that involves the recitation and interpretation of the ancient scripture, Srimad Bhagavatam, over the course of seven days. During this intensive period, devotees gather to listen to the sacred verses, reflecting on the divine stories and teachings, and seeking spiritual enlightenment and blessings.

Maha Shivaratri

Mahashivaratri, the auspicious Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva, holds special significance at the Sree Manikavu Temple near Choothupara in Meenangadi, Wayanad.On Mahashivaratri, the temple conducts special pujas and rituals throughout the day and night to honor Lord Shiva. Devotees participate in Abhishekam (ritual bathing) of the Shivlinga with various sacred substances such as milk, water, honey, and ghee.
