The Prathishta Varshikam & Uthram Mahotsavam at Kottavarampu Sree Bhagavathi Temple is one of the most revered and vibrant celebrations in the region drawing devotees from across Trivandrum and neighboring areas. Over the course of several days, the temple comes alive with a series of sacred rituals, traditional ceremonies and community gatherings that reflect the rich heritage of Kerala’s temple traditions. The festival begins each day with the Palliyunarthal, the ceremonial awakening of the deity followed by Nirmalya Darshanam and Abhishekam where the idol is ritually bathed and adorned.

Devotees participate in special homams such as Ganapathi Homam and Mrityunjaya Homam believed to bring prosperity, health and protection from obstacles. The temple also hosts the Sreechakra Pooja, a spiritually powerful ritual for family welfare, academic success and overall prosperity attracting devotees who wish to seek divine blessings.
