Thaipooyam Mahotsavam 2026 at Pulimoottil Sree Kandhan Sastha Temple, Aryanad, Thiruvananthapuram is a grand annual festival celebrated with devotion, traditional rituals and vibrant cultural activities.
The festival begins with Kodiyettam marking the official inauguration followed by special poojas, Abhishekam and Archana to Lord Sastha. The temple premises come alive with Kalamezhuthu, devotional music and traditional percussion performances like Thayambaka and Chenda Melam.
During the festival, the deity is taken out in a grand procession accompanied by devotees singing hymns and performing classical art forms. Daily Annadanam and Deeparadhana create a spiritually enriching and communal atmosphere. The festival concludes with the Aarattu signifying the end of the celebrations.
