The Shivarathri and Karthika Mahotsavam 2026 at Nagaroor Nandaivanam Mavelikkonam Sri Bhagavati Temple in Trivandrum is a vibrant and spiritually enriching festival that draws devotees from across Kerala and beyond. Celebrated annually with great devotion, this festival spans ten days, beginning on 15th February and concluding on 24th February 2026 coinciding with the auspicious Malayalam month of Kumbham. Devotees participate in Bhagavata Parayanam recitations of sacred texts and offer Annadanam feeding hundreds of visitors as an act of devotion. Special rituals such as Yamapooja, Kaikottikali, and Thookkam are performed with grandeur accompanied by the rhythmic beats of traditional Kerala percussion ensembles like Chenda Melam and Nadaswaram performances.

The temple premises are beautifully decorated, and flower offerings, lamps and elaborate Poomoodal ceremonies add to the visual splendor.
