Major Events
Kappukettu – 14 February 2027 | 11:40 AM
The festival begins with the sacred Kappukettu ceremony, during which the ceremonial thread is tied, marking the official commencement of the ten-day Mahotsavam. This ritual symbolizes divine protection and the beginning of the spiritual observances.

Aduppu Vettu – 10:00 AM
The Aduppu Vettu ceremony marks the preparation of the traditional hearths for the Pongala offering. It signifies the readiness of devotees to perform the sacred ritual with devotion and purity.

Attukal Pongala – 22 February 2027 (Monday)

Pongala Nivedyam – 2:20 PM
