Thiruvallam Sree Parasurama Swami Temple is one of the most ancient temples of South India. It is situated on the banks of Karamana River near Thiruvallam, Thiruvananthapuram. It is the only temple in Kerala that is dedicated to Lord Parasurama,and counts among the 108 Abhimana Kshethrams of Vaishnavate tradition.

The Thiruvallam Sree Parasurama Swami Temple, dedicated to Lord Parasurama, plays a significant role in the Aalpasi festival held in the Malayalam month of Thulam (October-November). This ancient temple, located on the scenic banks of the Karamana River near Thiruvananthapuram, is the only temple in Kerala dedicated to the sage-warrior Parasurama, considered the creator of the land of Kerala.
During the Aalpasi festival, the temple attracts devotees from across the region who come to perform Balitharpanam, a ritual offering for the souls of their ancestors.
