Navaratri Mahotsavam 2026 | Sree Panchami Devi Temple Trivandrum

Sri Panchami Devi Temple, Petta, Kallummoodu, Thiruvananthapuram, will celebrate its annual Navaratri Mahotsavam from October 11 to 21, 2026, with devotional rituals, special poojas, cultural programmes, classical dance, devotional music, bhajans, and Vidyarambham ceremonies.

Sri Panchami Devi Temple is recognised as Kerala’s first Varahi Panchami Devi Temple. The Navaratri celebrations are dedicated to Goddess Durga and her divine manifestations, bringing together devotees through prayer, music, dance, and traditional observances.

Sri Panchami Devi Temple at Petta, Kallummoodu, Thiruvananthapuram, will celebrate the Navaratri Mahotsavam 2026 from October 11 to 21, 2026. The temple is recognised as Kerala's first Varahi Panchami Devi Temple and the Navaratri celebrations include sacred poojas, devotional programmes, dance, music, bhajans, Laksharchana and Vidyarambham.

Navaratri Mahotsavam Thiruvananthapuram 2026 The Navaratri Pooja will begin on October 11, 2026, at 8:30 AM. During the nine-day worship, Goddess Durga is worshipped in nine divine forms: Kumari, Trimurthi, Kalyani, Rohini, Kalika, Chandika, Shambhavi, Durga and Subhadra.

The Navaratri Dance and Music Festival will be inaugurated on October 11 at 6:30 PM by renowned playback singer Smt. Rajalakshmi. The festival features classical dance, devotional music, bhajans, children's programmes and traditional cultural performances.

SPECIAL NAVARATRI RITUALS

A special Navakabhishekam for Chamundeshwari will be performed on Durgashtami, October 19, at 8:30 AM. The Poojavaippu ceremony will be held at 6:15 PM on the same day. Devotees offering books for Poojavaippu are requested to bring them to the temple before 5:00 PM.

Vidyarajagopala Manthraarchana will be conducted at five different times during the festival: October 19 evening, October 20 at 6:00 AM, 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM, and October 21 at 6:00 AM.

LAKSHARCHANA ON MAHANAVAMI

On Mahanavami, October 20, Laksharchana organised by the Sri Panchami Devi Temple Mahila Vibhagam will begin at 7:30 AM. Men are also welcome to participate in the Laksharchana.

VIDYARAMBHAM ON VIJAYADASHAMI

The auspicious Vidyarambham ceremony will begin at 7:00 AM on October 21, Vijayadashami Day. Prof. (Dr.) N. Ajith Kumar, former Dean of Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, will serve as the Acharya.

In association with the Sreevidya Kalanikethan Cultural Society, the Sri Panchami Devi Temple Trust will also provide opportunities for children to begin their learning in dance and music. Anjitha Teacher, film and television artist and Director of Sreevidya Kalanikethan, will be the Dance Acharya, while Yamini Teacher will be the Music Acharya.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL PROGRAMMES

Throughout the Navaratri days, devotees can participate in various spiritual and devotional programmes at the temple. Morning sessions will include Devi Mahatmyam recitation by the Sri Panchami Vanitha Narayaneeya Samithi and Devi Bhagavatham recitation.

In the evenings, the Sri Panchami Devi Temple Mahila Vibhagam will conduct Lalitha Sahasranama chanting, followed by devotional music and dance programmes.

The Sri Panchami Devi Temple Navaratri Mahotsavam 2026 brings together sacred rituals, devotional practices, music, dance and traditional cultural celebrations. From Navaratri Pooja and special abhishekam to Laksharchana and Vidyarambham, the festival offers devotees an opportunity to participate in spiritual celebrations and seek the blessings of the Divine Mother.
