The Thrikkodiyettu Medapunartham Pongala Mahotsavam is one of the most revered and vibrant festivals celebrated at the Sree Udiyanoor Devi Temple in Trivandrum, Kerala. This festival holds a special place in the hearts of devotees, particularly women who participate with immense devotion and enthusiasm. The festival begins with the ceremonial hoisting of the temple flag, known as Thrikkodiyettu marking the official commencement of the celebrations. Following this, a series of traditional rituals, poojas and devotional offerings are conducted according to ancient customs.
