ഗൗരീഷപട്ടം മഹാദേവക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ത്രിക്കൊടിയേറ്റു മഹോത്സവം ജനുവരി/ഫെബ്രുവരി മാസങ്ങളിൽ 10 ദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന വാർഷിക ഉത്സവമാണ്.

Gowreesapattom Mahadeva temple is situated in Gowreesapattom, Trivandrum district. The temple was built about 400 years ago by the Maharaja of Travancore. The main idol here is Lord Shiva, and Goddess Parvathy. There are other idols situated in this temple, they are Lord Ganesha, Lord Ayyapan and Nagaraja.
This one of the rarest temple where Mahadeva is facing east and devi Parvathy facing west under one sanctorum. Annual festival falls in the Malayalam month of makaram (January/February). There is a flag hoisting ceremony marking the beginning of the festival. The shrine is traditionally decorated with plantain: coconut leaves,flowers, leaves, traditional lamps and lights. There are special poojas and offerings during the festival period Also annadanam is held on all days.Traditional performing arts, and music and dance are staged during the festival period.Kalamezhuthum and pulluvan pattu is another major attraction of the festival.
Other than this kadhakali,ottanthullal, carnatic music etc are held there as major events. Thousands of devotees throng to witness the events and rituals. Numerous cultural programs and temple arts are performed along with religious discourses on all days of the festival. Caparisoned elephants, melam, fireworks, and sheevali are part of the festival. On the final day Arattu(holy bath) takes place, The utsava murti of the deity is taken out of the shrine for ritual bathing on the final day.
