Desiya Mahotsavam 2026 at Alampara Devi Temple, located at Nandiyode in Thiruvananthapuram district is a grand annual celebration that reflects the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Kerala. Dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy, the presiding deity, this festival is observed with deep devotion and active participation from devotees, temple authorities and the local community.
The Mahotsavam is an important occasion that brings together tradition, faith and art making the temple a vibrant center of worship during the festive days.
The celebrations span ten auspicious days and follow age old temple customs and tantric rituals. Each day begins with early morning poojas and progresses through various ceremonial offerings that seek the blessings of the Goddess for prosperity, protection and well being. Special poojas, homams and devotional practices are conducted creating a spiritually charged atmosphere throughout the temple premises.
