ആയയിൽ കരിയിലക്കുളങ്ങര ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വാർഷിക മഹോത്സവം 2026 ഫെബ്രുവരി 27 മുതൽ മാർച്ച് 10 വരെ ആചരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; തൃക്കൊടിയേറ്റ്, ഇരുത്തിപ്പൂജ, ദീപക്കാഴ്ച, പൊങ്കാല, ഗുരുസി എന്നിവയും വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന സാംസ്കാരിക പരിപാടികളും ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി നടക്കും.

Varshika Mahotsavam 2026 at Ayayil Kariyilakkulangara Bhagavathy Temple, Aruvippuram, Neyyattinkara in Thiruvananthapuram district is one of the most vibrant and spiritually uplifting celebrations in the region. This annual festival is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy and reflects the deep rooted devotional traditions, cultural heritage and collective spirit of the local community.
The festival begins with the sacred Thrikodiyettu marking the formal commencement of the auspicious days. Each day is filled with special poojas, rituals and offerings performed with great devotion and adherence to temple customs. Devotees gather in large numbers to participate in Ganapathi Homam, Kalasha Abhishekam, Sandhya Pooja and other significant ceremonies seeking the blessings of the Goddess for prosperity, protection and well being.
One of the major highlights of the celebration is the Ayayil Iruthipooja, a special devotional offering conducted with immense faith and participation. The grand Deepakkazhcha illuminates the temple premises, creating a divine and mesmerizing atmosphere. The Pongala ritual where devotees offer sweet rice preparation to the Goddess is another spiritually powerful event symbolizing devotion and gratitude. The festival concludes with Gurusi and Aarattu, traditional rituals that mark the ceremonial closing of the celebrations.
Apart from religious observances, the Mahotsavam is also a cultural extravaganza featuring Kaikottikali, devotional music programs and live musical performances that bring together people of all ages. Annadanam and refreshment distribution are organized to serve devotees throughout the festival days.
