തിരുവിതാംകൂർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡിന്റെ ആര്യശാല ദേവീക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ത്വക്കൊടിയേറ്റ് മഹോത്സവം 2026, 2026 ഏപ്രിൽ 12 (1201 മീനം 29) മുതൽ 2026 ഏപ്രിൽ 19 (1201 മേടം 6) വരെ നടക്കുന്നതാണ്, ഇതിൽ ത്വക്കൊടിയേറ്റ്, പള്ളിവേട്ട, ആറാട്ട് തുടങ്ങിയ വിശുദ്ധ ആചാരങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.

Thirukodiyettu Mahotsavam at Aryasala Devi Temple, Thiruvananthapuram, is one of the most significant annual temple festivals celebrated with deep devotion and traditional grandeur. The festival reflects the rich spiritual heritage of Kerala and the centuries old customs preserved under the Travancore Devaswom Board. Devotees from various parts of the region gather at this sacred shrine to participate in the divine festivities and seek the blessings of the presiding Goddess.
The Mahotsavam begins with the ceremonial flag hoisting marking the spiritual commencement of the festival days. Throughout the celebration, the temple becomes a vibrant center of devotion, filled with the chanting of hymns, special poojas and traditional rituals performed according to ancient Tantric practices. The atmosphere is further enriched by the rhythmic sounds of classical temple art forms and devotional music creating a deeply spiritual ambiance.
One of the key highlights of the festival is the Pallivetta ritual symbolizing the divine hunt which signifies the victory of good over evil. This is followed by Aarattu, the sacred ritual bathing ceremony of the deity, performed with great devotion and traditional procession. These rituals attract a large number of devotees who consider it highly auspicious to witness and participate in them.
