തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ അമരവിളയിലുള്ള രാമേശ്വരം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ആറാട്ടു മഹോത്സവം 2025 ഡിസംബർ, ജനുവരി മാസങ്ങളിൽ 10 ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി നടക്കുന്ന വാർഷിക ഉത്സവമാണ്.

Rameswaram Mahadeva Temple is located at Amaravila near Neyyattinkara in Thiruvananthapuram district. Legend associated with this temple is that Lord Rama worshipped Mahadeva at this place during the vanavasa of Sreerama. Hence the temple got its name Rameshwaram. Lord Shiva is the main deity.There is also a Parvathy prathishta facing west inside the Sreekovil. Ganapathy and Naga devathas are the sub deities. Rameswaram Mahadeva Temples is included in the 108 Shivalayams. This temple is situated on the bank of Neyyar river.
Arattu Mahotsavam Rameswaram Sri Mahadeva Temple Amaravila Trivandrum Kerala Annual festival of this festival falls in the Malayalam month of Dhanu (December/January). It is a 10 days spectacular event. There is a flag hoisting ceremony marking the beginning of the festival. The shrine is traditionally decorated with plantain, coconut leaves, flowers, leaves traditional lamps and lights. There are special poojas and offerings during the festival period. Also annadanam is held on all days. Traditional performing arts and music and dance are staged during the festival period. Thousands of devotees throng to witness the events and rituals, Numerous cultural programs and temple arts are performed along with religious discourses on all days of the festival.Caparisoned elephants, melam, fireworks and sheevali are part of the festival. On the final day Arattu(holy bath) takes place, the utsava murti of the deity is taken out of the shrine for ritual bathing on the final day.
