Amman Koda Mahotsavam is one of the most significant annual festivals celebrated at the ancient Meletheruvu Sree Mutharamman Devi Temple in Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram. Deeply rooted in tradition, devotion and community participation, this festival is observed with great reverence by devotees from Neyyattinkara and surrounding regions.

The celebration is dedicated to Goddess Mutharamman who is revered as a powerful protector deity and a benevolent mother who blesses her devotees with prosperity, health and well being. In the days leading up to the festival, the temple premises and nearby streets are spiritually energized with rituals, decorations, and devotional activities. Homes and shops in the area actively participate reflecting the collective devotion of the community.
A major highlight of the festival is the Irakki Pooja, a unique ritual symbolizing the offering of prayers and gratitude to the Goddess. This sacred ceremony is conducted with traditional rites accompanied by temple music and chants that create an atmosphere of divine sanctity. Another important aspect of the celebrations is the Kavadi procession where devotees carry ornately decorated kavadis as an act of devotion and fulfillment of vows.
