Uthram Thirunal Maholsavam
Uthram Thirunal Maholsavam at Vittiyodu Sree Bhadra Devi Temple in Vellalloor, Kilimanoor, is a grand annual festival celebrated in the month of Kumbham (February-March). The festival begins with the ceremonial flag hoisting and includes a series of special poojas, cultural programs, and traditional music and dance performances. Devotees participate in large numbers, with the festivities culminating in a spectacular procession of the deity through the village, accompanied by traditional temple percussion ensembles and decorated elephants.
Nagaroottu Maholsavam
Nagaroottu Maholsavam at Vittiyodu Sree Bhadra Devi Temple, celebrated in the month of Kanni, includes several important rituals and ceremonies. These festivities feature Ganapathi Homam, abhishekam for various deities, and the unique ritual of Kalamezhuthum Pattum. Additionally, the special offering of Ayilya Kanji is prepared and distributed to devotees as part of the Nagaroottu celebrations.
