Ganapathi Homam
The primary purpose of the Ganapathi Homam is to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha for the successful completion of any task or endeavor and to remove any obstacles or hurdles that may come in the way. It is also performed to gain wisdom, knowledge, and prosperity.
Pongala Mahotsavam
Devotees, mostly women, gather around the temple premises with their offerings of raw rice, jaggery, coconut, and other ingredients. They set up makeshift stoves using bricks or clay pots and cook the Pongala dish, which consists of rice, jaggery, coconut, ghee, and sometimes bananas.
