Thiru Ulsavam
The Thiru Ulsavam celebrated in the Kumbham month at the temple features a series of vibrant rituals and ceremonies. The festival begins with the ganapathi homam, Ayilyam Oottu,dedicated to serpant dieties. Highlights of the celebration include Pongala, where devotees prepare and offer a special dish to the deity, Thalapoli, a traditional ritual involving offerings and processions, Ghoshayatra, a ceremonial procession with decorated elephants, and Kuthiyottam.
Vinayaka Chathurthi
During Vinayaka Chathurthi in the Chingam month, the Ashta Dravya Mahaganapathy Homam is performed at the temple. This ritual involves the offering of eight sacred substances to Lord Ganesha, ensuring his blessings for success and prosperity. The ceremony is celebrated with great devotion and includes elaborate pooja and devotional activities.
