Goddess Durga is often depicted riding a lion or tiger, wielding various weapons to vanquish evil forces.

During Navaratri, the temple premises are adorned with colorful decorations, and special rituals and cultural programs are organized.

Navarathri
It is devoted to the worship of Maa Durga and her nine avatars - Maa Shailputri, Maa Brahmacharini, Maa Chandraghanta, Maa Kushmanda, Maa Skandamata, Maa Katyayani, Maa Kalaratri, Maa Mahagauri and Maa Siddhidatri.
Ayilya pooja
Ayilyam Puja is dedicated to the serpent god and goddesses - Nagaraja and Nagayakshi. It is performed on the Ayilyam day in the Hindu months with much pomp and splendor. The main offering is the Noorum Palum.
