Noorum Paalum Ootu
Noorum Paalum Ootu is a traditional ritual observed in certain parts of Kerala, believed to be initiated by Lord Parashurama for the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of individuals, especially those afflicted by the distress of Nagas. The ritual involves the offering of a mixture called Noorum Paalum which typically includes a blend of rice flour and turmeric, symbolizing purity and auspiciousness, along with milk. It is performed to appease the Nagas and seek their blessings, as well as to mitigate the negative effects of Naga Dosha .
