Punnamkonam Sree Bhagavathy Temple & the adjoining Nagarukavu at Nettayam, Thiruvananthapuram, is a serene and spiritually rich Hindu shrine dedicated primarily to Bala Durga, along with a host of sub deities including Paramashiva, Maha Ganapathy, Bhadrakali, Yogeeswaran, and Brahmarakshas.

Located in Kachani, near Vattiyurkavu in Thiruvananthapuram district, the temple is easily accessible approximately 11 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station and 12 km from Kizhakke‑Kotta. Ayilyam Festival
Held monthly on the Ayilyam star day, this festival is dedicated to the Nāga deities in the temple’s sacred grove (Nagarukavu). Devotees perform Ayilyam Pooja, Kalamezhuthu, and Paattu, offering reverence to serpent gods for protection, fertility, and prosperity.

Bhagavathy Utsavam / Annual Temple Festival
A multi-day celebration with processions, homams, archana, and devotional music, this festival attracts devotees from surrounding villages. Rituals include offerings to sub-deities and communal feasts, emphasizing both spiritual devotion and social bonding.

Special Homams and Rituals
The temple also conducts Maha Ganapathy Homam, Bhadrakali Pooja, and Shiva Abhishekam during auspicious days throughout the year, inviting devotees for blessings and fulfillment of wishes.
