Navaratri festival

Vidyarambham
Vidyarambham, also known as Ezhuthiniruthu, is a significant ceremony held at the Pournami Kavu Temple in Venganoor near Thiruvananthapuram. This auspicious event marks the initiation of formal education for young children. During Vidyarambham, children are introduced to the world of letters by a learned priest or elder, who guides them to write their first letters or words in a tray of rice or sand.
Vinayaka Chaturthi
This is the most important festival at Pournamikavu Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganapathy. Celebrations include Ganapathy Homam, special poojas, vazhipadus, and cultural events. The five-faced form of Ganapathy is specially adorned and worshipped, drawing a large number of devotees.
