The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Neeranjanam
Sachets of thil (Sesame Seeds / Ellu) and raw rice are dipped in ghee kept inside a coconut. Coconut pieces are kept in a plate of raw rice. These sachets are then lit in front of Lord Ayyappa the Lord of Sani preferably on Saturdays.
Mandala Kalam
Devotees visiting the Poovar Sree Dharma Sastha Temple during Mandala Kalam would immerse themselves in prayer, meditation, and acts of charity, seeking the blessings of Lord Ayyappa for spiritual progress and fulfillment.
