The highlight is the ritual called Nalliruppu, where the idol of Lord Subrahmanya is ceremonially brought from the Aryashala temple and placed near the Saraswathi Mandapam in Poojappura. This symbolizes divine unity and grace, with the king traditionally offering a ceremonial bow to the idol on Vijayadashami morning.
Historically, during Mahanavami, the temple also served as a venue for Ayudha Pooja, where weapons and tools used by Travancore soldiers were ritually consecrated. Books and musical instruments were similarly revered, reinforcing the connection between martial strength, intellectual pursuit, and artistic excellence.
