Kaliyoottu
Kaliyoottu, also known as Paranate, is a traditional folk art form primarily popular in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts of Kerala. In these regions, Kali temples are referred to as Mudipuras, signifying the place where Bhadrakali's hair is kept (Mudi is Malayalam for hair, and Pura means house). In localities like Ilamba and Attingal, Kaliyoottu is observed with regional variations, the ritualistic song known as Bhadrakalithottam is sung over a span of 48 days, blending dramatic and ritualistic elements seamlessly.
Chirappum Vilkum Maholsavam
The Chirappum Vilkkum Maholsavam, celebrated during the Malayalam month of Vrishchikam, holds special significance at the Palliyara Bhagavathi Temple in Attingal Elamba.
