This ritual involves offering milk, flowers, and other sacred items to the serpent god, often represented as Nagaraja or Nagarani. Special rites and prayers are conducted during Ayilya Pooja to seek protection from snake-related afflictions and to invoke blessings for prosperity and well-being. Devotees believe that performing this pooja regularly appeases the serpent deities and safeguards against snake bites and other misfortunes.
