The central deity is Shiva, worshipped as the fierce Aghora murti, consecrated by Khara Maharishi, with all three deities facing east.
Notably, the Vishnu deity in the temple is revered as Mohini Avatar, and the serene Chittar River flows behind the temple. Additionally, the temple houses several Upa Devatas, including Ganapathy, Sastha, Yakshi, Naga, and the Saptamatrikas.

Pathamudayam
Pathamudayam, Pongala is conducted at Ottasekharamangalam Mahadeva Temple, a significant event where devotees, primarily women, gather to prepare and offer Pongala, a sweet dish made of rice, jaggery, and coconut, to the deities. This ritual is performed with great devotion and is believed to bring prosperity and divine blessings to the participants.
