Prathishta Vaarshikam
Prathishta Vaarshikam (consecration day) celebrated each Makaram (January-February) is marked by a deep sense of devotion and ritual splendor. In the morning, the idol is ritually purified and adorned during Kalasha Abhishekam, followed by Deeparadhana in the evening amidst the glow of oil lamps and devotional chants.
Thaipooyam
Thaipooyam, celebrated in the month of Makaram, is a vibrant festival dedicated to Lord Murugan. The rituals include pongala (offering by women), kavadi procession by devotees carrying ornate structures as an act of devotion, and abhishekam (sacred bathing of the deity) performed with milk and holy water, symbolizing purification and surrender.
