Pathamudaya Pongala

During this festival, women devotees prepare Pongala, a special offering of sweet rice dish, in earthen pots outside the temple premises, seeking the blessings of Goddess Bhagavathy for prosperity and well-being. The festival also includes the Thiruvaabharana Ghoshayatra, a grand procession carrying the sacred ornaments of the deity, accompanied by traditional music and vibrant cultural performances, adding to the festive atmosphere and spiritual significance of the celebration.
Thrikkarthika
Thrikkarthika is celebrated with great devotion at Mekkolla Bhagavathy Temple in Kollayil, Thiruvananthapuram. The temple premises are illuminated with numerous lamps, creating a stunning and serene ambiance to honor Goddess Bhagavathy. Devotees gather to perform special poojas and rituals, seeking the goddess's blessings for prosperity, health, and spiritual well-being.
