Pooyam Thirunal Maholsavam
The Pooyam Thirunal Maholsavam at Kudavanadu Sri Durga Bhagavathy Temple in Meenam month is a grand festival that includes several traditional rituals. Key events are the Thrikkodiyett, where the temple flag is hoisted to mark the beginning of the festival, and the Arattu, a ceremonial bath of the deity. Pongala
Pongala is a revered ritual performed by women at the Kudavanadu Sri Durga Bhagavathy Temple during the Pooyam Thirunal Maholsavam in the Meenam month. In this ritual, women gather to prepare a sweet rice porridge made of rice, jaggery, and coconut in earthen pots as an offering to Goddess Durga.
