The sanctum honours Bhagavathy (Devi) accompanied by Lord Shiva (Thampuran) a harmonious pair symbolizing divine energy and cosmic balance. The shrine’s traditional Kerala-style wood-and-tile structure, adorned with a small flagmast and open mandapam, serves as a spiritual hub for devotees, emphasizing simplicity and serene devotion.
Festivals
The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Makam Maholsavam
Celebrated during the Makam nakshatra, this standout festival honours both Devi and Shiva with elaborate poojas, lamp lit processions, and folk music. Devotees gather to receive darshan, participate in communal worship, and seek divine blessings.
Pratishta Vaarshikam (Installation Anniversary)
This annual commemoration marks the consecration of the deity idols. Highlighted by special rituals, recitation of mantras, and modest cultural programs, it brings devotees together in gratitude and spiritual rejoicing.
