The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Maha Shivaratri
Maha Shivaratri is a major Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva, celebrated annually in honor of his marriage to Goddess Parvati. Devotees fast, offer prayers, and perform rituals to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva for prosperity, happiness, and spiritual growth. At Chathanpara Kottuvilakam Madannada, Maha Shivaratri is likely celebrated with elaborate ceremonies, night-long vigils, and special poojas dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Thiruvathira
Thiruvathira, also known as Arudra Darshanam, is another significant festival observed at Shiva temples, particularly in Kerala. It falls on the full moon day in the Malayalam month of Dhanu (December-January). Devotees celebrate Thiruvathira with devotion and reverence, performing rituals, offering prayers, and participating in cultural programs to honor Lord Shiva and seek his divine blessings.
