Ulsavam
The Ulsavam at the Ayirumoola Sree Mahashiva Vishnu Temple in Vamanapuram, Thiruvananthapuram, during the month of Meenam lasts for several days and is marked by a series of special poojas and rituals. Devotees gather at the temple to participate in various ceremonies and seek the blessings of Goddess Durga. The atmosphere during this time is filled with devotion and spirituality as people come together to celebrate the divine presence of the Goddess and partake in the sacred festivities.
Vidyarambham
Vidyarambham is a traditional Hindu ceremony observed during Navaratri, particularly on Vijayadashami, the 10th day of the festival. It is a significant event where children are initiated into the world of learning by tracing letters in grains of rice, sand, or a special tray of uncooked rice, while a teacher guides them to write their first letters or syllables of the alphabet.
