The Upadevatha Kshethram (Sree Bhadrakali) Consecration Ceremony and the Re-consecration of the Mullakkal idols at Sree Kakkattu Shiva Temple, Thrissur is a spiritually important event that reflects the rich temple traditions and ritual practices of Kerala.
This sacred occasion is conducted based on the findings of the Ashtamangala Deva Prasnam, a traditional ritual process that identifies the spiritual needs of the temple and guides the proper performance of ceremonies.
As part of this auspicious event, the consecration rituals of the sub deity temple dedicated to Sree Bhadrakali Devi are carried out with great devotion and discipline. Bhadrakali Devi is worshipped as a powerful form of the Divine Mother who protects devotees and removes negative energies. The rituals are performed according to established Vedic and Tantric traditions under the guidance of experienced temple priests ensuring the sanctity and spiritual strength of the temple.
Along with this, the reconsecration of the Mullakkal Bhagavathy idols is performed with special poojas and offerings.
