Every year, the temple celebrates its Prathista Dina Mahotsavam, a grand festival marking the anniversary of the deity’s installation. The evening features various traditional cultural programs showcasing Kerala’s rich performing arts like Kathakali, classical music and percussion ensembles allowing devotees to experience both devotion and art in harmony.

The temple opens early and the day begins with Abhishekam followed by Mahaganapathi Homam, a sacred fire ritual seeking blessings for prosperity and protection. The festival also features Ezunallippu, a ceremonial procession accompanied by Melam adding grandeur and vibrancy to the celebration. One of the highlights of the festival is Annadanam, the offering of free meals to devotees symbolizing charity, community and devotion. Evening rituals include Deepaaradhana and Thayambaka, a traditional percussion performance that captivates the audience. The festival concludes with the ceremonial departure of the devotees and the continuation of cultural programs leaving everyone with a sense of spiritual fulfillment and cultural pride.
