The Koodappuzha Shiva-Vishnu Temple in Thrissur district is set to host the Maha Shivaratri Mahotsavam 2026, one of the most significant and spiritually uplifting events in the region. Maha Shivaratri dedicated to Lord Shiva is celebrated with immense devotion across Kerala, and Koodappuzha Temple offers a unique combination of religious rituals, cultural programs and community participation that draws devotees from near and far. The festival concludes with the sacred Bali Tarpanam at the Koodappuzha Arattu Ghat performed past midnight offering prayers for the departed souls and reinforcing the spiritual essence of Maha Shivaratri.
