തൃശ്ശൂരിലെ സീതാ രാമസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ബ്രഹ്മോത്സവം, മാർച്ച്-ഏപ്രിൽ മാസങ്ങളിൽ നടക്കുന്ന 11 ദിവസത്തെ മഹത്തായ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവമാണ് (ഉപദേശിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്), പവിത്രമായ ആചാരങ്ങളും പരമ്പരാഗത ഘോഷയാത്രകളും സാംസ്കാരിക ആഘോഷങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.

Brahmotsavam is an eleven day festival celebrated at the Seetha Ramaswamy temple at Punkunnam. The temple is known for its idol worship of Lord Rama and his wife Seetha,
believed to be incarnations of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The rituals and customs followed at the temple established in 1895 are similar to those followed at the famous Tirupati Thirumala Devasthanam. Brahmotsavam celebrations include Ram Navami, Aarattu Sita Kalyana Mahotsavam, Anjaneyotsavam and Rathotsavam. Hundreds of
devotees take part in the celebrations. However, there are restrictions on public access to some of the rituals.
Brahmotsavam 2025 | Seetha Ramaswamy Temple Thrissur
Brahmotsavam is celebrated annually to pay obeisance to Lord Rama and his consort Sita.. It commences with the traditional Kodiyettu and concludes with Anjaneyotsavam. The Aarattu takes place on the 10th day followed by Seetha Kalyana Mahotsavam on the following night. Sree Rama Navami is observed on the gth day and is celebrated in a traditional manner befitting the religious importance associated with the birthday of Lord Rama. The 'Venna Krishnan Alankaram' on the 5th day, the 'Anantha Shayanam Alankaram' on the 6th day, the 'Manjaneer Vilayattam' on the 7th day and the Ratholsavam on the 8th day are all ritualistic events attended by devotees in large numbers. The Rathotsavam that boasts of a golden chariot is considered second to the famous Kalpathy Rathotsavam. The chariot for the Rathotsavam that carries the idols are decorated rather elaborately. The temple and its premises are illuminated and traditionally decked up during the festival.
