Navaratri
Navaratri, a nine-night festival dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy, is celebrated with great fervor at the Tharayil Devi Temple in Perinjanam, Thrissur. During this auspicious occasion, devotees gather to offer prayers, perform rituals, and participate in cultural events to honor the divine feminine energy. The temple premises are adorned with colorful decorations, and special pujas are conducted each day, culminating in a grand celebration on the final day, known as Vijayadashami.
Thrikkarthika
Thrikkarthika, also known as Karthika Deepam, is celebrated at the Tharayil Devi Temple in Perinjanam, Thrissur, with great enthusiasm. During this festival, devotees light traditional oil lamps, called deepams, around the temple premises and offer prayers to Goddess Bhagavathy. The entire area is illuminated with the warm glow of lamps, creating a mesmerizing and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
