Prathishta Dinam
The Sree Koottala Bhagavathy Temple in Koottala, Thrissur, celebrates its Prathishta Dinam in the Malayalam month of Meenam (March-April). On this auspicious day, special rituals and offerings are performed, including the Pongala offering, where women devotees cook a sweet dish made of rice and jaggery in open-air hearths as an act of devotion. Additionally, a Karyasiddhi Pooja is conducted, which is a special ritual aimed at fulfilling the wishes and desires of the devotees, seeking blessings for success and prosperity.
Navaratri Maholsavam
The Sree Koottala Bhagavathy Temple celebrates Navaratri Maholsavam with great fervor, featuring elaborate rituals and vibrant cultural performances dedicated to Goddess Devi. During these nine nights, special poojas and ceremonies, are conducted to honor the divine feminine energy and seek blessings for prosperity and well-being.
