Vinayaka Chathurthi
Vinayaka Chathurthi at Puthankulam Maha Ganapathi Temple is marked by Ashtadravya Ganapathi Homam, where eight types of offerings are made to honor Lord Ganapathi. The celebrations include special pooja, Unniyappam nivedhyam, and Deeparadhana, which involve lighting lamps to seek blessings. The festival also features Chuttuvilakku, where lamps are arranged in a circular pattern around the temple, creating a vibrant and sacred atmosphere.
Ramayana Maasa Acharanam
Ramayana Maasa Acharanam includes Karkkidaka pooja and Ramayana Parayanam. During this period, special rituals are performed to honor Lord Rama and seek his blessings. The temple observes Karkkidaka pooja, which involves traditional offerings and ceremonies, while the Ramayana Parayanam features the recitation of the Ramayana, enhancing spiritual devotion and reflection.
