
The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, revered as Devi in her protective and empowering manifestation. Though detailed historical accounts are limited, the temple is popular among villagers and travellers for its regular rituals (abhishekam, pushpanjali, deepa aradhana) and its active community participation, with around 320 followers on social media. The shrine is maintained by a local trust, and the temple environment reflects typical Kerala-style devotional reverence, blending spiritual ambiance with cultural values.
Festivals
The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Navaratri
Navaratri is one of the most significant festivals observed at the temple, lasting for nine days. It is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Bhadrakali and her various forms. During this festival, the temple is adorned with colorful decorations, and special rituals and prayers are performed daily.
Karthika Mahotsavam
Based on posts from 2025, the temple celebrates a Karthika Festival during the Malayalam month of Karthika, highlighted by devotional offerings, lamp ceremonies, and traditional performances.
