
The sanctum sanctorum (sreekovil) is constructed in the traditional chathura (square) style and faces east. Lord Ganapathi is worshipped here in a calm and seated posture, symbolizing wisdom and tranquility.

The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
The annual Prathishta Festival is celebrated during the Malayalam month of Mithunam (June–July), drawing many devotees. Among the most important festivals observed here is Vinayaka Chathurthi, which falls in the Malayalam month of Chingam (August–September). The temple also marks several other auspicious days dedicated to Lord Ganapathi throughout the year with special rituals and offerings.
