On Ekadasi, the temple opens early at 3:00 a.m. for Nirmalya Darshan and remains open until 9:00 a.m. on Dwadasi (12th day), when devotees make symbolic offerings known as Dwadasi Panam in the Koothambalam.
Ayilyam Pooja
Krishna Janmashtami is an important Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It holds special significance in the Vaishnavism tradition and is observed with various devotional activities such as fasting (upavasa), singing bhajans, reading scriptures, and performing dramatic enactments of Krishna's life from the Bhagavata Purana. Celebrations often continue into the night, culminating at midnight—the believed time of Krishna's birth.
