Thalapoli Maholsavam
The Thalapoli Maholsavam at Chirangara Bhagavathy Temple is celebrated in the month of Medam (April-May) with vibrant rituals and processions. Highlights include Mudiyett, a traditional dance-drama depicting the triumph of good over evil, and Ezhunnallath, a grand procession with the deity on a decorated elephant or chariot, accompanied by traditional music.
Ellam Nira
Ellam Nira is a ritual conducted in major temples across Kerala midway through the month of Karkidakam (July-August). This ceremony uses early maturing grains and symbolizes an invitation for a bountiful harvest, prosperity, and a full granary. The ritual is performed with great reverence, invoking the blessings of the deities for abundance and wellbeing.
