Prathishta Dinam

Prathishta Dinam (consecration day) at Avittathur Sree Bhuvaneswary Temple in Irinjalakkuda, Thrissur, celebrated in March, special rituals and ceremonies are observed to commemorate the establishment of the deity's idol. Devotees gather to participate in elaborate poojas, abhishekas , and homams conducted by the temple priests. Ulsavam

Ganapathi Homam is a sacred fire ritual performed to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of success and prosperity. During the homam, Vedic mantras dedicated to Lord Ganesha are chanted, and offerings such as modakas, fruits, and flowers are made into the sacrificial fire. Devotees participate in the ritual to seek the removal of obstacles in their endeavors, gain wisdom, and attain spiritual growth under the benevolent grace of Lord Ganesha.
