Ashtamichira Mahadeva Temple is a revered Shiva temple believed to have been enshrined by Parashurama in the concept of Thevar Ashtamurti.The temple features two Shiva pratishthas known as Thekumthevar and Vadakkumthevar, situated on the east bank of the Chalakudy Canal, a tributary of the Chalakudy Puzha.
In addition to the two Shiva deities, the temple also houses a prominent Maha Ganapati Pratishta, with the Ganesha idol being particularly renowned. Other sub-deities worshipped here include Sri Krishna, Lord Ayyappa, and Naga Gods, making the temple a significant spiritual center for devotees of multiple Hindu deities.
