The presiding deity is Narasimham, the fourth avatar of Maha Vishnu. In this avatar, Lord Vishnu appeared as a half-lion, half-man to protect his devotee Prahlada and to defeat the demon king Hiranyakashipu. This form of Vishnu symbolizes the destruction of evil and the protection of righteousness.

Prathishta Dinam

The day includes Niramala, which involves adorning the temple with garlands and lamps, and Chuttuvilakku, the lighting of numerous traditional lamps around the temple premises. The festivities conclude with Prasadam Oottu, where sacred food is distributed to all devotees.
